With 2021 now in the past, I would like to take the opportunity to say a big thank you to all our team, customers, and supporters, and to update you on how things are going here at Optix.
2021 saw businesses like our own and, more importantly, the customers we serve, face continued Covid-related uncertainty. Challenges like supply chain issues, rising product and transportation costs, and skills shortages. But despite all these and more, we have managed to keep our team together. With their help and dedication, we are supporting our wonderful clients with creative and strategic digital campaigns, which are delivering beyond expectations.
In the past year we have been working with our team to help them improve their skills through formal qualifications, supported by Exeter College and other professional organisations. We have also invested heavily in new talent and areas like automation, systems and processes and innovative technology, which in combination with our team’s personal development, will keep our clients ahead of the competition.
We are incredibly grateful to be in a position of growth, looking forward to 2022 being our best year in our 23-year history! We will never lose sight of the fact that we would not be here if it were not for the dedication and talents of our team, alongside the continued faith and support of our clients who have stood by us in these difficult times.
Looking at 2022 and what we would like to achieve, we are committed to the improvement of our client’s satisfaction with our service provision, enhancing our relationships and bringing even greater value and ROI. We are excited to be able to bring new products and services to market, especially in the creative campaign sense, aligning this with our existing strengths in strategic planning and consultative delivery. We strongly believe we have a winning recipe for our existing clients and their ambitions for this year.

Whilst we cannot share the commercial details with you, what we can say is that this campaign provided an amazing ROI, far beyond expectations. They saw many new customers buying from their e-commerce site (which we also built) and their retail stores. When we first revealed the campaign to our client, it moved them to tears of joy, which was an aim we had set out from the start! On a positive note, one of our Co-Founders, Al Banks recently was appointed as a contributor to Forbes! We are incredibly proud of Al and look forward to reading his articles in the coming year. Alongside this you will see our very own SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) Powerhouse, Crystal Carter appearing at Brighton SEO (Europe’s largest SEO conference), where she will be teaching other SEO experts about SEO – how incredible is that?! And it does not stop there as Jack Warne will also be talking at Brighton SEO, where he is going to be holding training sessions via our Optix Digital Academy. Jack was also helping teach the next generation of Digital Marketers at Exeter University, on the MBA programme.
