Rain Nutrience is the UK’s leading full-service manufacturer of powder blending, nutraceuticals and dietary supplements. They’re renowned experts in their field, offering full-service formulation/development, packaging and warehousing to a long list of household brands. Thanks in no small part to the ongoing work we’ve been doing with them to build their multichannel marketing results the Devon-based brand is enjoying significant growth.
Like so many other businesses, Rain Nutrience was aware of the explosion of artificial intelligence (AI) and considering the potential impact (both positive and negative) it could have on their business. Many team members were already using AI in an ad hoc way, and Rain wanted to understand how to use it more intentionally to reduce admin load, build efficiency in sales/marketing, HR and board activities, and automate regular tasks. They also had legitimate safety concerns around data protection and intellectual property and needed to ensure that any use of AI in the business wouldn’t compromise them.
We were already achieving incredible results for Rain through our digital marketing campaign, so they trusted Optix to support them in this area too. They had seen Optix Co-founder Alastair Banks speaking about generative AI at a conference, and were impressed by the thought leadership he was driving around the subject. Through conversations with clients, along with his own observations spanning a 25-year career in marketing, Alastair understands more than most how we are at the beginning of a steep curve when it comes to emerging open-source technology, and he’s positioned Optix at the forefront of these vital discussions.
An initial scoping call with senior leadership was held to understand their current operations and history of AI usage, and to identify specific pain points and delays they were experiencing that could potentially be solved with AI. Once we had built a clear picture of the need, we designed a training session outline which addressed these issues.
Our training template was designed to answer the team’s questions and build a collective understanding and confidence in their use of AI. We facilitated a training session that was very well received, with plenty of challenging questions from team members. The discussions that were generated were fascinating, and we were able to address a number of misconceptions and concerns that the team had about implementing AI in their admin, sales and marketing processes. By the end of the session, all participants agreed that they were feeling much more positive and confident in the use of AI.
