Rain Nutrience - PPC and Performance Max

Channelling PPC and PMax expertise to drive £1m of new business from website leads for our client.

The story so far…

Rain Nutrience is the UK’s leading full-service manufacturer of powder blending, nutraceuticals and dietary supplements, providing full-service formulation/development, packaging and warehousing to household brands. They identified a clear need to generate more leads and conversions from their website to underpin their wider growth goals. They had been using LinkedIn to drive leads, first organically and then paid, with little in the way of results, and they needed to find a better way to find new business.

Why Optix?

The client originally became aware of Optix Solutions through business networking, and came to us for SEO support. We gained their trust, so when they were subsequently looking for help with multichannel marketing we were the obvious choice. In initial conversations, we predicted that we could increase conversions by around 30%, but we’re actually seeing a 168% increase.

Our Approach


We’ve delivered SEO management for Rain Nutrience as a longstanding service, providing robust support including keyword performance tracking, rewriting and optimising metadata, assessing links to the site, improving site speed and overall site health, and ongoing content optimisation.

We were then asked to implement a Pay Per Click (PPC) campaign, managing Google Ads and optimising paid search and Performance Max activity (which includes all Google platforms including YouTube, Gmail and various apps). As part of this work, we’ve tested different messaging, optimised keyword bids, adjusted keywords, reviewed landing page performance and experimented with new audiences.

As with all our projects, we’ve kept a keen eye on the numbers, tracking results and providing monthly updates to demonstrate the impact our work has been having and identify areas for further growth.

Often, Performance Max tends to be a ‘set and forget’ exercise, which generates disappointing results. That’s not the way we do things at Optix; our ethos is to constantly test, measure, experiment with different tactics and refine to ensure results are always improving. That’s why we’re seeing such impressive returns. Our client has put their trust in us and it’s paid off, and we continue to enjoy a long-term relationship with the team. They’ve recently decided to increase their investment in Performance Max based on the results we’ve driven so far, and they’ve also brought us in to advise on embedding safe, confident and efficient use of AI.
